This project demonstrates our ability to create spaces that balance luxury amenities with practical functionality in a recreational setting.
Working closely with civil engineers, we tackled site grading challenges to meet all code requirements while achieving the owner's vision of a five-star resort. We provided options between steel, heavy timber, and conventional wood construction, allowing the client to choose the most suitable approach. The design includes multiple entrance buildings to comply with ADA requirements on challenging terrain, and we minimized HVAC elements on the grounds to preserve the resort's aesthetic appeal.
This comprehensive 17.5-acre site included 141 RV sites and various amenities. The project features a clubhouse, restaurant, camp store, pools, pavilion, maintenance facilities, laundry, and exercise areas. Our design incorporated a mechanical platform into the pitched roof with minimal visual impact, addressing both aesthetic and functional needs.
Mechanical platform incorporated into pitched roof with minimal visual impact. Worked with Civil on site grading challenges. Multiple bldgs. This project saw considerable cost increases as a result of supply chain issues, due to the COVID crisis and inflation. To help our client, we redesigned multiple aspects of the project to manage the total project cost.
