Rheinlander Architects provided pro bono services for Yesterday's Gone, a non-profit organization in Leander, Texas. Serving as the owners representative, we assisted in the permitting process, and provided on-site observation during the construction phase, coordinating with contractors and holding them accountable during the project.
The seven acre site required a use zoning change, site layout, fresh water and septic systems to accommodate their tiny home campus serving women in need. We managed the process from inception to completion assisting with zoning, planning and TCEQ. Meeting the goals of the owner without exceeding the county restrictions required balancing needs and requirements that, in the end, worked out for everyone. Several conversations were required with county authorities to comply with what turned out to be a new application of the codes for this particular usage. Mission accomplished!

Built environments focusing on physical and mental stimulation and interaction help to ensure the well-being of residents. Intimate personal spaces appealing to both residents and family members not only help maintain a high census but also encourage longer and more frequent visits. Happy, healthy, engaged residents result in smoother staff operations.
Facilitating efficient operations is an integral part of our design process. This benefits owners and residents alike with vibrant staff, operational savings, and ample time for casual interaction with residents and their fmaily members.
At Rheinlander Archtects, our principals take a “hands-on” approach with each project. This ensures a successful project with continuity from start to finish. Responsiveness, deft management and close collaboration between owners, architects and contractors transform the owner’s core principles, philosophies and end-goals into a mission-driven platform for success.
