Vice President and Architect
Michael is the 3rd generation of entrepreneur and architect in his family, following the high standards and examples set by his grandfather and father. He has been a driving force at Rheinlander Architects since joining his father in the firm in 1998. As Partner and Vice President, his deep involvement in all aspects of the firm—from day-to-day operational decisions to overseeing client projects through to their final stages—demonstrates his commitment to excellence.
As a registered architect in Texas, Michael brings a wealth of experience to his role, having initially worked in construction and as a draftsman for various engineering disciplines. His hands-on approach makes him a valuable asset for Rheinlander’s clients, especially in the senior living sector, his focus for the majority of his architectural career.
Known for his ability to handle complex design challenges that require creative, out-of-the-box solutions, he relishes the opportunity to craft functional, aesthetically pleasing environments that not only meet but exceed the expectations of clients. By creating designs that are economically and operationally efficient, his work makes a tangible difference for the owners, developers, operators, staff, and residents of senior living facilities.
One of the projects he’s most proud of is the 88-acre expansion of the Lakeside Landing Village and Cottages at the Army Residence Community, where he had the honor of serving military officers through the design and creation of a resort-style community. This project, often referred to as a "gem" by the Colonel and former CEO of the community, remains a highlight of Michael’s career.
Inspired by his father, who set a high standard for client service, Michael approaches every project with a commitment to doing it right. His dedication extends beyond architecture, as he also takes pride in his role as a cattle rancher and values supporting friends and family whenever they need assistance. Michael’s pride in his work is deeply personal—his name is on every project, and he brings the same level of care to his business as he does to his family.
Michael is a Licensed Architect in Texas.
